LA Travel: Day 3 Downtown LA 美國旅遊洛杉磯 6日行程遊記

The bustling atmosphere of downtown LA made me feel the impact of the city’s history and modernity, where tradition and innovation intersect. It was like standing at the turning point of history, feeling how life is pulled between two extremes. I visited the Apple Tower Theatre, which is housed in an old building with a nostalgic exterior but features advanced technology and hardware inside. However, the space felt more idle than interactive.

Downtown LA的喧囂，讓我感受到一座城市的古與今、傳統與現代交織的衝擊，宛如站在歷史的轉淚點，感受生活如何於兩端間拉捨，走進 Apple Tower Theatre，外貌懷舊的老樓中，展示著先進的科技、硬體設施，卻感受到空間中人們的狀態閒置大於互動。第三天主要參觀 Downtown LA的建築，和美術館 The Broad、Walt Disney Concert Hall，晚上訂了一間位於 Santa Monica的法餐 Pasjoli。

On the third day, I mainly visited the buildings in downtown LA, including The Broad museum and the Walt Disney Concert Hall. In the evening, I made a reservation at Pasjoli, a French restaurant located in Santa Monica.

Day 3.

🦌 White top + jean skirt

休閒的景點，白天的行程我是穿小白鞋，白色短版上衣，配牛仔短裙，這張是晚上在飯店 Rooftop拍的，當時已換成高跟鞋。

This is a leisure spot. During the day, I wore white sneakers, a white cropped top, and a denim skirt for the itinerary. The photo was taken at the hotel rooftop in the evening, and I had changed into high heels.

Apple Tower Theatre

由建築師 S. Charles Lee於 1927年所設計的戲院，1988年因為安全疑慮停止營業，直到 2021年 Apple Store在此重新開幕，與英國知名建築公司 Foster + Partner合作進行古蹟修復計畫，並提升抗震等級，將老劇院全面改造成現代的電影製作、攝影和音樂創作的交流空間，以下我附上在網路找到的相關文章，更希望現場也能有個區域，能完整地介紹建築改建的歷史資料。

The theater was designed by architect S. Charles Lee in 1927. It was closed in 1988 due to safety concerns and reopened in 2021 as an Apple Store. Foster + Partners, a well-known British architecture firm, collaborated on a restoration project to upgrade the seismic resistance of the historic building. The old theater has been completely renovated into a modern space for film production, photography, and music creation. 必須先搭乘電梯至13樓，再經過通道至大樓的底樓，餐廳分為屋頂的露天酒吧區，和樓下的市內餐廳區，聽說松露油薯條是很受歡迎的前菜，但我少吃油炸食物，就點了牛肉漢堡加生菜沙拉。

You need to take the elevator to the 13th floor and then walk through a corridor to the ground floor of the building. The restaurant is divided into a rooftop open-air bar area and a city restaurant area downstairs. I heard that truffle oil fries are a popular appetizer, but I don’t eat fried food much, so I ordered a beef burger with a side of lettuce salad.

The Broad

Walt Disney Concert Hall

一旁的 LA Phil Center，熟知的 Walt Disney Concert Hall (WDCH)，出自於建築大師 Frank Gehry的傑作，如銀色緞帶般座落於 Downtown LA最高的地平線上。

The nearby LA Phil Center is accompanied by the famous Walt Disney Concert Hall (WDCH), a masterpiece by the renowned architect Frank Gehry, which sits like a silver ribbon atop the highest point of Downtown LA’s skyline.

Blue Ribbon Garden

爬上階梯，穿過迴廊的另一頭是 Gehry送給博物館的一份厚禮 Blue Ribbon Garden。近看蓮花雕塑的表面是由陶瓷切片所拼湊的花瓣層層堆疊而成。

Climbing up the stairs and passing through the corridor leads to the other side of the building, where Gehry gifted the museum with a precious gift, the Blue Ribbon Garden. Upon closer inspection, the surface of the lotus sculpture is made up of layers of ceramic tiles arranged to form petals.

Bottega Louie

看完美術館與音樂廳，步行十分鐘來到這家LA Downtown 老字招牌的義式甜點店，我點了Chia Latte和檸檬塔。

After visiting the art museum and music hall, I walked for ten minutes to this Italian dessert shop with an old signboard in LA Downtown. I ordered a Chia Latte and a lemon tart.

美國的寵物好幸福啊，很多店家都是 Pet Friendly，而且他們都乖巧地待在主人身旁。

In the United States, many stores are pet-friendly, and they behave well while staying with their owners.

其實吃完甜點已經有點飽足感了，但像到下一餐是期待已久的米其林還是叫車前往 Santa Monica。

Pasjoli

Santa Monica的一家米其林法餐，我坐在吧台點了一道前菜、一個半份主菜、配一杯調酒，我完全聽美麗的服務生推薦點餐，超級推這家，裝潢和餐點都優雅精緻，有機會再回來！

I went to a Michelin-starred French restaurant in Santa Monica and sat at the bar. I ordered an appetizer, half portion of a main course, and a cocktail. I relied completely on the recommendations of the beautiful waitress, who was super friendly and recommended this place. The decor and food were elegant and refined. I definitely want to come back again!

前三天的行程因為是假日，有整天的活動時間比較緊湊，抵達 Downtown的第一晚，相較於 Beverly Hills的寧靜，我有被這裡街上複雜的場景嚇到，但這是我個人非常主觀的意見，有人就愛這款熱鬧，Downtown LA Proper Hotel住到第二晚因為親切的服務人員，開始愛上這個充滿人情味的地方，晚上還能安全地待在飯店裡，到頂樓露天酒吧吹著微風享受風景。

Compared to the tranquility of Beverly Hills, DT LA has more city vibes. Some people might enjoy the liveliness here. Thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff of Downtown LA Proper Hotel. I gradually fell in love with the city. It was a safe, chic hotel to stay and you can also enjoy the breathtaking city landscape and the breeze on the rooftop.
