LA Travel: Day 2 Getty Villa 美國旅遊洛杉磯 6日行程遊記

Every time I explore a new city, what attracts me the most are themes related to aesthetics and culture, such as architecture, art, design, music, and food, to gain a deeper understanding of people’s ways of life. On the second day, I visited the Eames House, Proper Hotels, and the Getty Villa.

每次探索新的一座城市，最吸引我的主題都與美感與文化息息相關，從建築、藝術、設計、音樂和飲食深入了解人們的生活型態。第二天主要參觀景點為 Eames House、Proper Hotels、Getty Villa。

Day 2.

七點間左右自然醒，去健身中心運動，在花園泳池拍個照，Kimpton La Peer Hotel 是早上11:30 Check out，因為在這區附近還有行程，就先把行李寄放在飯店。

I woke up naturally around 7am, went to the gym for a workout, and took some photos by the pool in the garden. Check-out time at Kimpton La Peer Hotel was 11:30am, but since I still had some activities planned in the area, I left my luggage at the hotel.

🦌 Floral dress + sneakers

預計今天逛花園會走不少的路，又要換旅館推行李，決定換上白色小布鞋，搭碎花洋裝，套上白色的 Blazer，輕便出門！

I planed to do a lot of walking in the gardens today and have to change hotels to drop off my luggage, so I decided to wear white sneakers, a floral dress, and a white blazer for a more casual and comfortable look.

Eames House

請先上網預約 Tour，解說時間大約30分鐘至1小時之間，工作人員強調可以拍建築外觀，但要避免清楚的拍到室內的傢俱。

Please make a reservation for the tour online first. The guided tour will last for around 30 minutes to an hour. The staff emphasized that visitors are allowed to take photos of the exterior of the building, but should avoid clearly capturing the indoor furniture.

Palma at Santa Monica Proper Hotel

目前 LA吃到最厲害的早午餐，我點的是 Salmon Bagel 和 Chai latte，圖書區的藏書主題關於設計、藝術、時尚，我選了本關於 Verner Panton 的書邊用餐。

The best brunch I’ve had in LA so far. I ordered the Salmon Bagel and a Chai latte. The library area has books on design, art, and fashion. I picked up a book about Verner Panton to read while I enjoyed my meal.

The Getty Villa

請上網先預約免費門票，如果搭乘 Uber，會再換成他們的接駁車入場，自駕則可以開上山至停車場。如果看得仔細，花園和博物館可以花一個下午，吹個海風挺舒服的。

Please make an online reservation for free admission tickets beforehand. If taking an Uber, they will provide a shuttle service to the entrance. If driving, you can park at the parking lot on top of the hill. If you look carefully, you can spend an entire afternoon in the gardens and museum, and it’s quite pleasant to feel the ocean breeze.

🛏 Downtown LA Proper Hotel

回飯店拿行李後立刻前往 Downtown LA Proper Hotel，飯店設計師為 Kelly Wearstler，天花板的插畫出自於藝術家 Abel Macias之手。

After picking up my luggage from the previous hotel, I immediately headed to the Downtown LA Proper Hotel. The hotel was designed by Kelly Wearstler and the ceiling illustration was created by artist Abel Macias.

Cara Cara at Downtown LA Proper Hotel (Rooftop)

因為晚餐餐廳訂了9點，就先去屋頂餐廳吃點小東西，Cara Cara位於16樓，也是飯店泳池所在地，早上泳池只開放給住飯店的客人，餐廳中午才開始營業。

As the dinner reservation was set for 9 pm, I went to the rooftop restaurant for some snacks first. Cara Cara is located on the 16th floor and is also where the hotel pool is situated. The pool is only open to hotel guests in the morning, and the restaurant starts serving lunch at noon.

Shibumi Resturant

日語中 Shibumi 形容茶的澀味，也指的是一種時間和磨難打造出來的美。我坐在吧台邊邊看師傅處理食材和烹飪，點了 D餐 Emperor’s meal 加 matsusaka wagyu。

In Japanese, Shibumi refers to the astringency of tea. It also represents a kind of beauty that is created through time and adversity. I sat at the counter and watched the chef prepare and cook the food. I ordered the D course Emperor’s meal with Matsusaka Wagyu.

在此叮嚀自己旅行的女孩，在 Downtown LA 晚上出門一定要叫車，連 Uber司機也都建議我不要冒風險，就算是十分鐘的步行距離也請考慮叫車直接抵達店門口，出門在外，尤其是身處在還不熟悉的城市，安全為優先考量！

It’s important to remind all female travelers to take precautions when going out at night in Downtown LA. It’s recommended to take a taxi or ride-sharing service, even for short distances that might seem walkable. Even Uber drivers have advised me to not take any unnecessary risks. When traveling, especially in unfamiliar cities, prioritizing safety should always come first!
