DJ Nora En Pure 2022 New York Eve Concert at Terminal 5 紐約跨年演唱會

I attended Nora En Pure’s concert on New Year’s Eve 2022, which was held at Terminal 5. Nora is a Swiss-South African DJ of mixed heritage. Her music often extends from the theme of nature, and her YouTube live videos are also surrounded by natural landscapes. Her music style combines classical music with electronic music. For example, her song “Enchantment” is based on Bach’s unaccompanied cello suite in G major, and you can hear the familiar melody at the beginning of the song.

2022跨年我參加了 Nora En Pure的演唱會，表演場地辦在 Termial 5，Nora是瑞士和南非的混血 (Swiss-South African DJ)，她的創作常以自然為主題去延伸，她的 YouTube live影片也都是被自然風景環繞，音樂風格會結合古典曲去混電子樂，例如 Enchantment就是以巴哈的Ｇ大調無伴奏大提琴曲為基底旋律去創作，開頭會聽到那段耳熟能響的旋律。

Performance 表演

Nora這場表演的視覺靈感以自然為主題，海洋、魚群、森林、火山、冰山、宇宙…等，她的音樂風格多變，有些富有靈性的旋律，有時前奏結合交響樂再加入電子音樂。接下來影片我剪輯了那晚表演的精彩片段。

The visual inspiration for Nora’s performance was primarily focused on nature, including themes such as the ocean, schools of fish, forests, volcanoes, icebergs, and the universe. Her music style is versatile, with some spiritual melodies and sometimes featuring symphonic music combined with electronic music in the prelude. The following video clip showcases the highlights of that evening’s performance that I have edited.

跨年表演時，Nora大概十點左右上場，表演到跨年倒數，她之前是另一個歌手表演，之後也有其他DJ，但我那場去主要是聽她，所以我沒有待到最後。

During the New Year’s Eve performance, Nora went on stage at around 10 o’clock and performed until the countdown to the New Year. Before her performance, there was another singer, and after her, there were other DJs, but I mainly went to listen to her, so I didn’t stay until the end.

Terminal 5場地最厲害的部分是燈光跟舞台效果，因為跨年人多會比較擁擠，我當時非常早到，工作人員就推薦我去站在二樓中控室上方的正中央，視野非常好，燈光背景、效果盡收眼底，而且不需要在一樓人擠人，如果你不是一定要近看表演者的臉部表情，蠻推薦站在制高點觀賞反而體驗是更全面性的。

The coolest part of Terminal 5 is the lighting and stage effects. Since there are usually a lot of people for New Year’s Eve, I arrived very early and the staff recommended that I stand in the center of the second-floor control room. The view was amazing, with the lighting and effects in full view, and I didn’t have to deal with the crowds on the first floor. If you don’t necessarily need to see the performers’ facial expressions up close, I highly recommend watching from a high vantage point for a more comprehensive experience.
