L’Abeille, a Michelin-starred French restaurant, recently opened in Tribeca, a fashionable neighborhood in Lower Manhattan. The name Tribeca is an acronym for Triangle Below Canal Street. The neighborhood is known for its traditional industrial architecture, loft apartments, boutiques, and restaurants. You can walk along the Hudson River to Pier 25, which offers stunning views of New Jersey. Tribeca is also home to the Tribeca Film Festival, a major film festival in New York City.

低調的石牆外觀,搭配簡單的 Logo,l’abeille為法語的蜜蜂之意,標誌設計為蜜蜂外型的簡化,由翅膀與腹部構成,我非常欣賞以象徵意象為代表的作品,抽象的符號卻又不脫離寫實的意象
The restaurant’s exterior is made of a low-key stone wall, with a simple logo. The French word “l’abeille” means “bee”, and the logo is a simplified representation of a bee, consisting of wings and a abdomen. I really appreciate works that represent symbolic imagery. The abstract symbols do not deviate from the realistic imagery.
入口玄關一旁的盆栽,餐廳裡的孔雀藍的絨布座椅,搭配深色木紋的餐桌,低調的配色不失莊重,卻又帶點雅緻的色彩,牆上金屬曲線的極簡燈飾也別具特色。
The restaurant’s interior is elegant and sophisticated. The entrance hall is decorated with a potted plant, and the dining room has peacock blue velvet chairs and dark wood tables. The low-key color scheme is both formal and stylish. The minimalist metal curve lighting on the wall is also a distinctive feature.

The functional wine cabinet, with simple lighting, is located in front of the entrance without being overstated or out of place. It is the first thing you see when you walk in, but it does not overwhelm.

這家餐廳有提供 Testing Menu,五道菜色,我自己吃選擇單點,調酒、前菜、主菜、甜點
This restaurant offers a tasting menu of five courses. I chose to order a la carte, which includes a cocktail, appetizer, main course, and dessert.
調酒法文翻中 Fraise Royal皇家草莓,以香檳為基底的調酒,酒精濃度大約5%
Ingredients: Strawberry & pink peppercorn infused Blanco, Cocchi Rosa, peach raspberry champagne jam, thyme, champagne


前菜我選擇西班牙涼菜湯,櫻桃風味的濃湯配上松露麵包
Cherry Gazpacho, Pistachio Oil, Homemade Ricotta, Black Truffle

主菜選擇水煮龍蝦佐番茄醬、檸檬泥,這道我非常喜愛!醬汁喝到一滴不剩,連 Bartender都看出來這道料理深得我心 😆
Poached Maine Lobster, Tomato Essence, Verbena, Lemon Purée

I chose truffle chocolate ice cream for dessert, and it is also a dish that I would give a perfect score. I personally have very polarized reactions to desserts, but I have to say that the dark eggshell-shaped bowl is really high-quality. The bottom layer is a chocolate mochi ice cream filling, topped with chocolate ice cream gelato, and then topped with dark chocolate chips, marinated black cherries, and sliced black truffle. The combination is perfect, and not too sweet!
甜點選擇松露巧克力冰淇淋,也是我會給滿分的料理,我個人對甜品反應很兩極,先稱讚一番深色蛋殼狀的碗實在太有質感了,最底層為巧克力粿冰淇淋餡,搭配巧克力冰淇淋雪糕,再延續堆疊上黑巧克力片、醃製黑櫻桃、黑松露切片,完美的組合,甜而不膩!
Chocolate, Poached Cherries, Mascarpone Cream, Black Truffle

最後送上波爾多出名的甜點可麗露 (Canelé de Bordeaux),熟知的酒桶蛋糕、天使之鈴,為這道法餐完美收尾。
To finish, the restaurant served a dessert called Canelé de Bordeaux, which is a famous pastry originated from the Couvent des Annonciades, Bordeaux in southwestern France, It is also known as “rum barrel cake” or “angel’s bell”. It was the perfect way to end this French meal.

Pier 25
25號碼頭 (Pier 25)位於哈德遜公園 (Hudson River),公園生態和設施皆管理的非常用心,漫步於公園,搖曳的芒草深深吸引我的目光,蹲下從低處向南望去遠方,紅磚的老式公寓後方對比著金融辦公大樓,玻璃帷幕折射著日暮溫和的光線與蔚藍的天空,建築風格形成強烈性的對比,多元特色反而為曼哈頓最具代表性的天際線。
Pier 25 is located on the Hudson River. The park’s ecology and facilities are well-managed. As I strolled through the park, the swaying sea oats caught my eye. I squatted down and looked south from a low vantage point. In the distance, the red-bricked old apartment buildings contrasted with the financial office buildings. The glass curtain walls reflected the gentle light of the setting sun and the blue sky. The architectural styles formed a strong contrast, but their diversity made Manhattan’s skyline even more iconic.

公園草叢中藏著自然教室小告示,喜歡寓教於樂的方式讓人們享受公園美景的同時,也能了解這塊人造的生態環境是如何利用海岸植栽,組成防波堤保護海水對公園基座的侵蝕,達到自然與人類生活空間的共榮共存。
Nature classroom signs are hidden in the grass of the park. They are designed to educate and entertain visitors while they enjoy the park’s beauty. The signs explain how the park’s artificial ecosystem uses coastal plants to form a seawall to protect the park’s foundation from erosion, achieving a harmonious coexistence between nature and human living space.

l’abeille才開幕三個月左右,已好名遠播,與當天坐在吧台的客人們閒聊,也是慕名而來,並對每道餐點讚不絕口,我個人非常推薦嘗試他們的龍蝦與松露巧克力,此餐廳也是我會再回去嘗試其他料理的口袋名單之一!
L’Abeille has only been open for about three months, but it has already gained a good reputation. I chatted with the guests sitting at the bar that day, and they all came after hearing good things about the restaurant. They praised every dish. I highly recommend trying their lobster and truffle chocolate. This restaurant is also on my list of places to go back to try other dishes!
