Santa Monica最愛的一家法式餐酒館,店面不大卻精緻典雅,點餐時我就照著 Bartender推薦的點,前餐和主餐口味都非常喜歡,主廚 Dave Beran嚴選當地南加州的農產,以巴黎市場的經典法式美食呈現,客人們於餐廳中可品嚐到的是獨特風格的法式小酒館創意料理。

我自己坐在吧台,店面的擺設帶種家的舒適,酒櫃後方保留原始的紅磚牆,少了高檔餐廳的拘束感,多了幾分人情味
I sat at the bar by myself, and the decor of the restaurant was like a cozy home feeling.

Cuisine 餐點
因為三點左右才吃完甜點,還不是很餓,就請 Bartender推薦簡單但她最愛的幾道餐點,小杯調酒,配上前菜加半份主菜,份量抓的很剛好!
Crabe et chou-fleur
這道餐點將紫色的小花朵與香料葉妝點,看起來非常小巧精緻,螃蟹殼裝的內餡是螃蟹泥與佐料
This dish is garnished with small purple flowers and aromatic leaves. Filling inside the crab shell is a mixture of crab meat and seasonings.

Foie de poulet à la strasbourgeious
吐司的中間填充雞肝醬,與海鮮風味的佐料,後方那小杯裝的為莓汁松露醬
The toast is filled with chicken liver pâté and a seafood-flavored sauce, and behind it is a small cup of berry truffle sauce.

目錄後的第一頁,印的是法國廚師 Jacques Pépin 的大名,他活躍於 1980年代晚期的美國美食電視節目與紐約時代雜誌,感謝見識多廣的朋友特別強調,方才深入了解這號大人物
The author is a famous French chef Jacques Pépin, who was active in late 1980s American culinary TV shows and the New York Times Magazine.

餐廳位於海岸不遠處,當天訂了六點左右的位子,吃完晚飯與同樣坐在酒吧的夫妻小聊一會,離去餐廳時剛好傍晚,漫步至沙岸邊吹著海風,眼前隨風搖曳的橄欖樹與被夕陽渲染成柳橙色的天際,是 Santa Monica標誌性的風景
The restaurant was located not far from the coast. After finishing my dinner, I took a leisurely stroll to the beach, feeling the sea breeze. The swaying olive trees and the orange-hued sky, painted by the sunset, created the iconic scenery of Santa Monica.
