LA 5-star Hotel – Downtown LA Proper Hotel 洛杉磯五星飯店

The Downtown LA Proper Hotel, created by the well-known American interior designer Kelly Wearstler, opens the hotel door and unleashes infinite imagination for visitors. The eye-catching scene is the bright orange-yellow walls under the brilliant Los Angeles sunshine, with vividly colored bouquets and sharply shaped animals, creating a fairytale-like environment. Two cacti taller than people on both sides of the lobby further distance me from reality, making everything feel like a dream.

飯店由老建築翻修，大門造型為羅馬式建築的拱門，文藝復興建築特色的裝飾

The hotel is renovated from an old building, with a Romanesque arch as the main entrance and decorative features characteristic of Renaissance architecture.

透過窗框，瞥見了天花板一隅，預示著開啟那扇大門，我們即將揭開童話世界的序曲

Through the window frame, a glimpse of a corner of the ceiling, indicating the opening of that big door, we are about to begin the prelude to the fairy tale world.

Located on the 16th floor, the view of the evening pool is stunning. The restaurant only opens at noon, but the pool is open to guests in the morning.

夜晚的景色，這裡的服務生都很親切，拍照技術神好，角度完美！

The nighttime scenery is beautiful, and the servers here are very friendly. Their photography skills are amazing, with perfect angles!

LA還是蠻涼的，戶外需要生火取暖，晚上去吃飯點了一杯特調 Hot toddy

LA is still pretty cool, and we need to make a fire to keep warm outdoors. It’s a bit chilly to go out for dinner at night, so I ordered a Hot Toddy to warm up.

Room 房間

我在 Expedia上原本訂的房間旁邊是夜市，窗戶沒有隔音，馬上跟櫃台反應，加價換到更高的樓層以及升級房間。

The room I originally booked on Expedia was next to a night market, and the windows were not soundproof. I immediately reported it to the front desk and paid extra to upgrade to a higher floor and better room.

床尾有雙人沙發，工作日白天上班有桌子用
At the end of the bed, there is a two-seater sofa.

市中心寸土寸金，房間我一個人住還好，如果是雙人出遊適合更大的房間
This room is fine for me to live alone in a room, but if it’s a couple traveling together, it’s better to book a bigger room.

The second-floor gym has all the basic equipment.

Caldo Verde 餐廳

一樓的餐館，如果有在飯店住宿，直接跟櫃台訂位即可，前幾天都跑出去玩，第六天才在這裡吃早午餐跟工作

If you are staying at the hotel, you can make a reservation at the restaurant on the first floor directly with the front desk. I have been out and about for the past few days and only had breakfast and lunch here on the sixth day while working.

The dining environment is lush with potted plants everywhere!

西班牙涼湯 Yellow Tomato Gazpacho

雞肉沙拉有點微辣 The chicken salad is slightly spicy

抹茶牛奶好濃好好喝 Matcha Latte

邊吃邊工作，被綠色的植物圍繞心情特別好！
I was working remotely, and being surrounded by green plants feels good.

如果想在 Downtown LA多玩耍個幾天，非常推薦這家夢幻的飯店，晚上就算有安全疑慮不想出門，也能待在室內餐廳或去屋頂酒吧，服務人員親切熱心，24小時健身中心，走路不到五分鐘就有 CVS藥妝店，旅行臨時需要採買都很方便！

If you want to play in Downtown LA for a few more days, I highly recommend this dreamy hotel. Even if you have safety concerns and don’t want to go out at night, you can stay in the indoor restaurant or go to the rooftop bar. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, there is a 24-hour fitness center, and a CVS pharmacy is within a five-minute walk, making it convenient to purchase any last-minute travel needs!
