Ludovico Einaudi 2022 Tour at Beacon Theater 紐約鋼琴演奏會燈塔劇院

Italian pianist and non-traditional classical music composer Ludovico Einaudi held a piano concert at the Beacon Theater in New York, which was divided into two parts. The performance began with an unveiling of a semi-transparent projection screen, and Einaudi appeared before the audience as the dividing point for the second half of the show. His first part of the preformation style was innovative and impressive. The second part performed classical music in a traditional way.

Performance 表演

開場由全頻的投影屏幕動畫搭配燈光效果，將目光聚焦於中心的鋼琴，音樂家置身於似翻滾的雲海又湍急地洪流的中演奏。隨著鋼琴曲的變奏，畫面轉變魚群優游，經過幾場故事線後，視覺影像來到樹林，黑白相間的樹林中，小提琴與大提琴的演奏聲響起，除了傳統的樂器演奏，效果器的加入也是表演令我十分驚喜的部分，鋼琴為主，合成自然聲或電子聲為輔，豐富音樂的層次性。

The opening of the concert featured an animation with lighting effects, which draw the audience’s attention to the central piano. The musician performed amidst rolling clouds and turbulent rapids. As the piano music varied, the visuals changed to a school of fish swimming freely. After a few storylines, the visual imagery shifted to a forest, where the sounds of violin and cello filled the black-and-white trees. In addition to the traditional instrument playing, the use of an effect mixer was also a surprising and exciting aspect of the performance. The piano served as the main instrument, with natural or electronic sounds synthesized to enrich the layers of the music.

Beacon Theater 燈塔劇院

建築節構建於 1886年，歷經幾次修建後，Beacon Theater 燈塔劇院於 1928以藝術裝飾風格定調，精美的壁畫、繁複的雕工，很難想像這座富麗堂皇的劇院，該場地舉辦的都以搖滾樂、流行樂為主，工作人員表示這是頭一次看到觀眾們大多穿著小禮服或西裝，盛裝打扮的出席鋼琴演奏會。

The architectural structure of the Beacon Theater dates back to 1886 and has undergone several renovations. It was finally established in the Art Deco style in 1928, with exquisite murals and intricate carvings. It’s hard to imagine that this magnificent theater now primarily hosts rock and pop concerts. The staff mentioned that it was the first time they had seen the majority of the audience dressed in semi-formal attire or suits, attending a piano concert in such a glamorous fashion.

Dress Code 穿搭

Beacon Theater 其實是比較沒那麼嚴肅的場地，畢竟過往這裡都舉辦流行樂為主，但參加鋼琴演奏會，為非傳統古典音樂，多數人還是以正式的服裝或半正式的休閒裝 (Smart Casual) 出席。

The Beacon Theater is not typically associated with formal events. Historically, it has primarily hosted pop and rock concerts. However, for the piano concert, which featured non-traditional classical music, most people still attended in either formal attire or semi-formal smart casual attire.

雖然官方公佈表演八點開始，還是會等大排長龍的隊伍，都安檢完、驗票入場，就定位後才開始演奏。

Although the official start time for the performance was 8:00 pm, there was still a long queue waiting to enter the venue. After going through security and ticket checks, everyone took their seats before the performance began.
